LinkaTrip is a travel planning app that lets you save travel inspiration from any source (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, blogs, etc.), organize everything into trips, build day-by-day itineraries with AI assistance, manage packing lists, track your travel budget, and store important travel documents — all in one place.

You can sign up using your email address, or instantly sign in with Apple (iOS) or Google. Once you create an account, your data syncs across all your devices automatically.

Yes! LinkaTrip is available on both the App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android). Download it for free and start planning your next adventure.

LinkaTrip offers a free tier that lets you explore the app. To unlock unlimited trips, AI-powered itinerary generation, and all premium features, you can subscribe to our Premium plan. We offer both monthly and yearly subscription options.

Tap the '+' button on the Trips tab to create a new trip. Enter your destination, travel dates, and optionally add a cover image. You can then start adding activities, saving links, generating an AI itinerary, building packing lists, and uploading documents.

Saving Links

There are two ways: 1) Use the Share button from any app (Instagram, TikTok, Safari, Chrome, YouTube, etc.) and select LinkaTrip from the share sheet. The link is automatically saved and categorized. 2) Open LinkaTrip and tap 'Add Link' to paste a URL manually.

You can save links from virtually any source — Instagram reels/posts, TikTok videos, YouTube videos, blog articles, Google Maps locations, Booking.com hotels, restaurant review sites, and more. LinkaTrip extracts the key details automatically.

When you save a link, LinkaTrip analyzes its content and automatically assigns a category (Food & Dining, Hotels & Stays, Activities, Culture, Shopping, Nightlife, etc.). You can always change the category manually if needed.

Yes! When saving a link, you can assign it to one or more existing trips. You can also assign links to trips later from your saved links list. Assigned links appear in your trip's map view and timeline.

You need an internet connection to save new links since the app needs to fetch details from the URL. However, previously saved links are cached locally and can be viewed offline.

Trip Planning & Itinerary

Our AI trip planner creates a personalized day-by-day itinerary based on your destination, travel dates, pace preference (relaxed, balanced, or packed), and focus areas (food, culture, nature, adventure, shopping, nightlife). It even incorporates your saved links so your favorite spots are included. You can regenerate or manually adjust the itinerary at any time.

Absolutely! The AI gives you a starting point, but you have full control. You can add, remove, or reorder activities, change times, and add personal notes. The itinerary is fully editable after generation.

Yes! Every trip has a built-in map view that shows all your planned activities and saved places as pins. This helps you visualize your day and group nearby attractions together.

In your trip's timeline view, tap the '+' button on any day to add an activity. You can enter the activity name, time, category, and additional notes. You can also drag saved links directly into your itinerary.

Yes! When creating a trip, you can add multiple destinations. The app organizes your itinerary across all destinations, making it easy to plan multi-city adventures.

Yes! Each trip has a built-in budget tracker. You can set an overall budget, add expenses by category (food, transport, accommodation, activities, etc.), and monitor your spending in real time. You can also set your home currency for automatic conversion.

Packing Lists

Each trip has a dedicated packing list. You can add items manually, organize them by category (clothing, toiletries, electronics, documents, etc.), set quantities, and check items off as you pack. The list stays with your trip for easy reference.

Yes! You can attach files (photos, PDFs, etc.) to any packing item. For example, attach a photo of your passport to the 'Passport' item, or a booking confirmation to 'Hotel Voucher'. These documents are accessible in your trip's Docs section.

Currently, packing lists are created per trip. However, you can use the items from a previous trip as reference when building a new list. We're working on a packing list template feature for a future update.

Documents & Storage

There are two ways to store documents: 1) Attach files to packing items (e.g., passport scan to your 'Passport' packing item). 2) Use the 'Add Document' feature in your trip's Docs section to upload standalone documents with custom names and categories.

Yes! When adding a document from the 'My Documents' section in your profile, you can choose 'Personal Documents' to save files that aren't linked to any specific trip. These are perfect for general travel documents like passport copies, visa scans, or insurance cards.

You can upload images (JPEG, PNG), PDFs, and other common file types. You can capture documents directly with your camera, pick from your photo gallery, or select files from your device storage.

Go to your Profile tab and tap 'My Documents'. This screen shows all your documents grouped by trip (and personal documents at the top). You can search, view, and manage all your documents from one central place.

Yes. All documents are stored securely in Firebase Cloud Storage and are only accessible to your account. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Only you can view and manage your documents.

Discover & Inspiration

The Discover tab is your source of travel inspiration. It features trending destinations with curated travel articles, hand-picked social media posts from travel creators, and a search function to explore new destinations.

When reading a trending article, tap 'Plan a trip to [Destination]' at the bottom. This opens the trip creation screen with the destination and cover image already pre-filled, so you can start planning right away.

Social Picks are hand-curated travel posts from Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube that we update monthly. Tapping a pick opens the original post in your browser so you can watch, save, or share the content.

Subscription & Pricing

We offer two premium subscription options: a Monthly plan and a Yearly plan (which gives you significant savings). Both plans unlock all premium features including unlimited trips, AI itinerary generation, and full access to all app capabilities.

Yes! You can explore the app with our free tier. When you're ready for the full experience, you can subscribe anytime from the app.

Your subscription is managed through your device's app store. On iOS, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. On Android, go to Google Play Store → Subscriptions. You can cancel anytime, and you'll retain access until the end of your billing period.

No. Your saved links, trips, documents, and all data are preserved even if you cancel your subscription. You can re-subscribe at any time to regain full access to premium features.

Refunds are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) depending on where you purchased your subscription. Please contact the respective store's support for refund requests.

Offline & Sync

Yes! LinkaTrip caches your trips, saved links, and profile data locally on your device. When you're offline (e.g., traveling without internet), you can still view your itineraries, check your packing lists, and access your saved information.

Yes. All your data is stored in the cloud and syncs automatically when you sign in on any device. Changes made on one device appear on all your other devices within seconds.

Some features require an internet connection (saving new links, generating AI itineraries, uploading documents). However, viewing previously loaded data works fully offline. We recommend syncing before traveling to ensure all your trip data is cached locally.

Account & Privacy

Go to your Profile tab and use the account settings to update your email or password. For security, you may need to re-authenticate before making changes.

Yes. Go to Profile → scroll down to 'Delete Account'. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data including trips, saved links, documents, and files from our servers. This action cannot be undone.

We use Firebase by Google for authentication and data storage. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Your documents are stored in secure cloud storage accessible only to your account. We never share your personal data with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Yes! LinkaTrip supports multiple languages including English and French. Go to your Profile tab to switch between available languages. The entire app interface updates instantly.

Yes. In your Profile, you can set your home currency from a list of world currencies. This is used for budget tracking and expense management across your trips.

Troubleshooting

Some websites don't provide rich metadata. You can manually edit the title, category, and other details of any saved link by tapping on it and selecting 'Edit'. If an image fails to load, the app shows a category-appropriate placeholder.

Make sure your saved links are assigned to the trip before generating the AI itinerary. The AI planner uses your trip's saved links as 'must-include' places. If they're not assigned to the trip, the AI won't know about them.

On iOS: Make sure LinkaTrip appears in your share sheet. If not, scroll to the end of the app row and tap 'More', then enable LinkaTrip. On Android: LinkaTrip should appear automatically in the share menu after installation.

Try these steps: 1) Make sure you're on the latest version of LinkaTrip. 2) Close and reopen the app. 3) Check your internet connection. 4) If issues persist, try signing out and back in to refresh your data cache.
